In early February, Samsung launched the Galaxy M02 entry-level smartphone in India. It is a rebranded Galaxy A02, which is available in markets like Thailand. A little over a month after its debut, the company has now hiked its price by ₹500.
Samsung released the Galaxy M02 in two storage configurations. The base variant with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage launched at ₹6,999. On the other hand, the higher version with 3GB RAM and 32B internal storage was introduced at ₹7,499.
But now, according to a retail source of 91Mobiles, the South Korean tech giant has hiked the price of this handset by ₹500 for the offline channels. We also found the device to be listed with the increased price tags on both Samsung online store and Amazon India.
Therefore, if you are planning to get this phone, then you will have to spend either ₹7,499 for the 2GB + 32GB model or ₹7,999 for the 3GB + 32GB variant. The new price is applicable to all four colors options, namely Black, Blue, Red, and Gray.
It is weird for Samsung to increase the price of its cheapest smartphone launched in 2021 to date. Last year, the company did the opposite
by dropping the price of its most-affordable smartphone (Galaxy M01 Core) just two months after its release.RELATED:
