Last year, in the month of September, Xiaomi-backed POCO had launched the POCO X3 smartphone. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a ‘Pro’ variant of the same, which could soon go official.
The POCO X3 Pro smartphone, carrying model number M2102J20SG has passed through the NBTC certification process. This hints that the official launch of the device is just weeks away but there’s no such confirmation from the company yet.
Just a few days ago, the same smartphone had received certificates from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in India and the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM), the regulatory body of Malaysia.
Recently, the phone with model number M2102J20SG was approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Russia, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore, as well as the TUV Rheinland authorities.

As of now, nothing is known about the specifications of the smartphone but some reports indicate the device will be powered by the SM8150 chipset. It is a chipset family that belongs to Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 855+
. But there are also rumors that the Snapdragon 860 will also be launched under the same family. The device is expected to come with a quad-camera setup on the back. It could be featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera sensor with a wide-angle lens, and the other three sensors could be an ultrawide lens, a macro shooter, and a depth sensor. We expect more details about the POCO X3 Pro to surface online in the coming days.
