OnePlus has begun to roll out OxygenOS Open Beta 17/7 for OnePlus 7/7T series worldwide. This will be the only Open Beta release for these handsets for this month as the brand reduced their frequency to single build per month in June. Apart from bringing August 2020 security patch, the update also adds new OnePlus Tips & Help sedition and a number of fixes as well as optimizations.

Just like the last Open Beta build for OnePlus 7/7Pro and OnePlus 7T/7T Pro, the new one also brings more bug fixes than new features. The only new addition mentioned-above is nothing but a sort of digital user manual in the Settings app.

Talking about fixes, the new update fixes an abnormal error in “Lockbox”, auto-start issue with QXDM logs after reboot, and “File Manager” did not display some downloaded documents of apps. Also, it optimizes and improves user experience with long screenshot and stability of WiFi transfers.

In a nutshell, this OxygenOS release is just a minor update to improve the overall experience of the software of the phone. That said, the OTA update is being rolled out in batches and will soon reach your device if you are running the Open Beta build.
