Mobvoi has a new pair of TWS earbuds and they are the first pair of earbuds from the manufacturer to not go by TicPods. The Mobvoi Earbuds Gesture as they are officially known is currently being crowdfunded on Indiegogo.
The new earbuds have a black matte+gloss finish and an in-ear design with silicone tips that provides passive noise cancellation. The selling point of the Mobvoi Earbuds Gesture is its support for head gestures, a feature that debuted first on the TicPods 2 Pro
There is also support for touch controls, so you can tap the earbuds to play/pause playback, switch between tracks, activate the voice assistant (Google Assistant and Siri), and also accept, reject, or end calls.
Each earbud has a 90mAh battery capacity while the charging case has a 600mAh battery capacity. The earbuds which have an IPX5 rating will last up to 10 hours on a single charge, and with the case (charges via USB-C), you get an additional 50 hours of playback. There are dual-microphones on each earbud for noise cancellation during calls and you can use each one independently.
The Mobvoi Gesture Earbuds will sell for $67 to those who back the campaign on Indiegogo with a promise to begin shipping in October. After the campaign ends, the earbuds will sell for $130.
