Chinese brand itel is reported to launch two different-sized smart televisions in India this month. For those unaware, itel is one of the three brands of Transsion Holdings. The other two are Infinix and TECNO respectively. Unlike its sister brands, itel is known for features phones and entry-level smartphones.
However, that’s going to change soon. According to a new report by 91Mobiles, itel will be releasing two new TVs in India in March. These televisions will have a 32-inch and 43-inch display respectively. Above all, they will run Android TV. Hence, we can expect Google Play Store, Google Chromecast, and Google Assistant.
Further, the report also says that these TVs will come with a ‘frameless premium design’, an ‘ultra-bright display’, Dolby Audio, and support for popular OTT apps. All these jargons are basically marketing terms. Going by the brand’s product portfolio, we can expect these televisions to be budget offerings.
Last but not least, the report also mentions that there will be a 55-inch model as well. However, its launch timeline is a mystery as of now.
