On Monday, a Weibo user claimed that Huawei will hold a press conference later this month to announce its next foldable smartphone. Today, the company took to the micro-blogging platform to confirm that the Huawei Mate X2 will launch on Feb. 22.
The predecessor models such as Huawei Mate X from 2019 and last year’s Mate Xs foldable smartphones were equipped with an out-folding design. Several reports claimed that the Huawei Mate X2 will be arriving with an in-folding design. The launch poster released by the brand suggests that it will be sporting an inward folding design. It is speculated that the design of the Mate X2 will somewhat differ from the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
